Jon:

What is in the AUto Assembly that would make it cost $50.00??

Is this a constant tail drive or just a one way bearing assembly?

Autorotation Hub Assembly:

The assembly is a one way unit and main shaft. The main shaft has a reduced portion at the bottom to keep the unit small. The hub is all aluminum.

Jon Yuhas

I would really like to get one of these helis but I have not heard anything good about them (PHR). Has anyone had any good aerobatic experiences with them ??
Thanks, Chuck

Let's see:

1. Machine made of metal: check

2. engine too small for metal machine: check

3. crummy power to weight ratio: check

4. way overpriced parts: check

5. company owned by individual unqualified to pick up dog excrement much less design helicopters: check

6. high probability of a customer experience not soon to be forgotten: check

7. the ugliest canopy bar none: check

Now where exactly is the 'win' for this machine?

not sure what you're talking about?

"Machine made of metal"
Not sure what your point is here? Most Raptor guys do a lot of upgrading to make their machines metal??

"engine too small for metal machine"
I agree, the .15 is too small. I am going electric and a lot of guys are looking to go .21-.25 with the heli since it is built like a 30 in strength.

"crummy power to weight ratio"
Like I said above... Just look at helis like the Ergo 30, Fury 50, Venture 30, and some others. They all are heavy for their size, and most guys put bigger engines in them except for the Fury 50 which they just buy the 60 to start with.

"way overpriced parts"
Q15/30/60 All metal swash - $49.00
Raptor 30 swash - $62.00, R60 Swash - $69.00

Q15 Metal Blad Grips - $59.99
R30 Metal Blade Grips - $109.00

Q15 Spindle - $4.99
R30 Spindle - $9.19

Q15 Metal Flybar control arms $24.99
R30 Metal Flybar control Arms $37.99

It's probably important to compare metal parts to metal parts. Go out and buy part for an Ergo, or DNHP, Fury, or X-Cell. You'll get the point.

"company owned by individual unqualified to pick up dog excrement much less design helicopters"
You lost your credability of being capable of saying anything that deserves respect with that last statement.

"high probability of a customer experience not soon to be forgotten"
I have had nothing but good interaction with their customer service, what's your point?

"the ugliest canopy bar none"
LOL... It IS pretty ugly, but the uglyest? I think that title goes to the Raptor V1 wouldn't you think?

pequeajim,

after being at HHI in person, i agree with you 100%, but the ugliest canopy by far is the caliber, with the v1 trailing.

regarding the canopies, they have a large selection of other painted and unpainted canopies in stock and a great artist to do any custom work.

if i didnt order a r60v2 from heliproz before i made my visit to HHI, i would be working on a 30 pro at this moment. i was also told that there are soon to be a few new releases onto the market so keep your eyes open. the craftsmanship of their products is high end.

i think i would make a much better point if i took the camcorder down there, recorded a tour of the place, and then uploaded a video for people to see what it's like......
