I just picked up a heli and am looking for someone to learn the ropes with. I know of a few guys down in the southern part of the state but no one north of the Bangor area.

I got a Helipro Blackhawk 500 with a bunch of extras. I have been flying planes for 20 years but this is my first heli and noone in the club in PI flies them.. What do you fly?

How far is Caribou from Bangor? i live in Bath ME, Just another Southern ME flyer ive never been that far north but i heard its beautiful up there. Im am not the best heli pilot, at my skill level i can hover in all orientations, figure 8 and circles, loops, rolls and inverted hover nose in. i do know a little about setup and Roger is right, setup is the difference between comfortable learning and frustration. My helis line up includes two raptors 50, T-Rex 600N, and a T-Rex 450 SA. got pic of them in my gallery. if i am ever up in your neck of the woods ill let you know.

Larry,
Caribou is 2 1/2 hrs north of Bangor. Our nearest hobby shop is in Orrington (Near Bangor). I was in to Ray&Robins a couple of weeks ago. Their new digs are nice!!

Ya they do. the guy who runs it is a great guy. The name is Kings Mountain RC 825-5593. Warren Mitchell is his name. If he hasn't got it he can get it usually.
