Ben Parrott Furion flightI just found a cool video of Ben wringing out his Furion from a few days ago. I'm definitely going to be trying some more piro stuff on my Furion after seeing how well his Furion flys through piro loops and funnels.
Yes, it is very loud. I did not really notice much until I flew indoors. I took the motor apart and found bad bearings and a worn motor shaft. I put some boca bearings in it to see how they work.
Thanks for posting the video jphilli!

No problem man.

Very fun, indeed. But man that is the whiniest little heli I've ever heard. Is that gears or motor or both?
The heli itself is actually very smooth. What you're hearing is most definitely the bearings in the motor. Seems like every -6 I've seen is like that but apparently, MA has some -6's and -8's special made with higher quality bearings so that the motor runs smooth. I'd be interested in swapping bearings like Ben did with either Boca's or whatever MA is using to see if it makes a difference.

I have flown this with a lower headspeed and it still flys very nice.

I'd like to hear what MA is using for bearings in these re branded Scorpions....No dis respect but I run the -6 in my Furion and in my Rave, same motors and alot different noise. The noise from Furion does not bother me, but I find it hard to believe the difference in sound being the bearings.
...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

None taken. But are you saying that the furion is louder than the rave? Do they both have the same motor?

Man...my 2100T DOES NOT perform like that!!!
Yours looks 100x's more consistant. I wonder if it's my tail servo (9650)...I'll have to try that 9257.
Awesome flight man, I know how hard it is to make a 450 look smooth, and you did a FANTASTIC job...
Keep up that good work Ben, Marshall

MAYHEM, yes, the 9257 makes all the difference. It was really designed to be a tail servo and the 9650 was not.
