are there any other reasons why I should not hang them like this?
I know everyone does it, but think about it: the landing gear is not meant to support the heli that way. I choose to store the heli upright on a wall shelf. But I only have one heli too.

Problem if you store it on a shelf (I do too) is you squash the landing gear over time. I use a piece of the one-wrap velcro and put thru the landing gear, pulling them up a little past where the normally are and that keeps the weight of the model from squashing the gear.

Quick UK has a plug that will stop the "Oil Drips". I put a "REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT" tag on it (which I sell for $10.00 each). The tag adds a cool touch to it.

I hang all my helis from the wall like this. From the thirty size up to my 13 lb gasser's. I have never had a problem with any of them.

I remember the old guys telling me to store my engines pointed up so the residual fuel that may be in the engine will run to the backplate and gunk up there instead of everywhere else in the engine.

Just what I've been told and always did it with my planks.
