I'm leaning toward skill.

It takes skill to do a precise 1/4 loop and eagle's eye for a good depth perception to judge the distance between the skids and the wall.

Incredible flying! and great pilot! The Trex on the wall and in the gym is insane. Piro funnel and reverse piro funnel in a very tight space it very respectable....to say the least. Props!
