I've heard that if you use WildCat fuel, this would not be an issue. How true? I've a TT53 but the distributor of TT here run out of new carbs. So now I don't know if it is a must to change the carb before I mount it or just change my fuel brand. I'm using Tornado 30% right now with my OS .50 SX hyper onboard my K3D.

Regie - Fuel is not the issue. Its the old card design and or material selection.

WildCat is as good as any other fuel its just depends on who is the person you are talking to

Since IRCHA they have a new carb which fixed the problem. All new ones are fine and you could sent your old one back and they will replace it.

I wish I could fly 24/7

That's what I thought too. That's why I wasn't surprised - it was the WildCat distributor who told me.

some pilot here are using the old carb without any issue, I think they are using a push-pull system. Reggie, just practice your auto if you will going to use the old carb...

kimber, a push-pull system might be an easy getaway. But maybe the climate there in Seattle helps as well to prevent the piston of the carb from locking up?

But my best bet is to return the carb. I'll have to wait though because the distributor of TT here told me he run out of stocks for the new carb.
