Starts to get too heavy with big servos.
Some Hdx can accomadate big servos but not sure which ones.

you can get the sideframes for big servos im sure, but I wouldnt because the weight wil go up.

Let us know how building the heli and flying goes, or try and find someone who can help you out.

Has it got the plastic tail case or metal??

It has then metal tail and head. I'll keep ya informed of how things go. As far as I know the trade is on and the heli's are in the mail. I should have her in the air in the next few days (lets hope).

Thanks for the help.

My 500 can in the mail today and it's a nice looking heli. The two heli's I spoke of was a Gaui 200 that I traded concept1 for this 500.

So I got my HDX500 and I needed a new swash so I got a used swash online and it didn't fit. How can a standard swash be to small to fit a standard main shaft? So what should I do to make these parts work together? This isn't the best way to start my experience with HDX.

thats really odd, never where did you get it, is it definately hdx 500 swash.
Is the swash too small for the shaft or too big.
If its too much to use sand paper then all you can do is try another mainshaft (cheaper than trying a new swash).
Wondering if they gave you the 450 swash by mistake?

[edit} Me personaly, I would never risk buying parts s/hand of people, your better of just grabbing them new, I know the swash is a bit pricey though compared to other parts.

I LOVE MY HDX500

I have had 19 different helicopters. The only one that i have not sold or traded is the HDX. parts are cheap comes with Metal swash and flybar cage! Really the landing skids and conpy are the only downside to them

The SAH version which I have had for a year.(realy the second one, The first planted in a farm due to a electric fense ) Anyway, the SAH version has the direct swash linkup so it is super fast mover. i believe the SE version has the control arm leavers.

Have owned a bunch of heli's, the HDX BAR NONE is the best heli for the dollar! As far as the Trex 500, why buy one of those when you can get three of the HDX 500 for he sme price.

Oh yeah, I just bought a SAH kit for 99.99 with free shipping on the bay. I said it once and I will say it again, its not the heli it's the pilot!

HDX 500's RULE!!!!

Keep your back 2 the Sun and GET-R-DONE!
