Im leaning towards the NEU but I have the price. The scorpions is just as powerful if not more, but that extra min of flight time is what I want.
can anyone that ran both on a Trex 500 give me some stats pros and cons
what type of setup did u run it on would help 5,6,or 8 cell speed control stuff like that.

Thanks!

the 1600kv version for the 500 is great, same flight time and more power, if you want balls out power the 1400 kv really rocks but you will lose flight time. Currently imho the best motor for the 500 rex is for certain the Scorpion.

You cant get one more flight minute + same power at same RPM, it aint that much difference between motors today, certainly not between Neu and Scorpion.

well there are many on here that seem to say other wise. Some motor/esc are more eff than others.

compared to scorpion, not a chance, compared to a non-governored esc that overspeeds alot and a crappy motor, then perhaps, but not otherwise, its simply impossible.

However, running just 100RPM less will give you 7-8% ,more flighttime.
Also, kv isnt always correct, so just because you have 2 motors with same kv on the paper, one might be +10% kv....

Mel is right. I have several neus and several scorpions. It all depends on the whole setup. different KVs of the same brand and size give totally different results too. If you think your going to take a scorpion of equal KV out and plug a neu of equal KV in and get 20% more flight time I'm afraid your mistaken. you're really not even guaranteed to get any more time. I haven't seen it personally. The only thing you're guaranteed is to pay more for the neus in cost and weight sometimes too if you run the heli version. They're both good motors each with their own attributes.
