Pinebelt R/C club is going to have a R/C Helicopter Funfly Oct 4, 5th...

Trophy's for Best 3D flight, Best Scale heli, auto rotation, and drag racing plus knock the bottle over for the newbies...

There will be plenty of food and drinks...

20 bucks entry fee which includes food, and a drink

I just realized I forgot my Scale guys..There is going to be a Best Scale voted by the pilots, and the public who attend....

In the future, We are going to have a premiere scale event only, but for now, I would really like the scale guys to come to this event..We can set aside a area for you to fly if you want...

Everything is looking good for the flyin... I just wanted to mention that Camping is allowed at the field. No hook ups, but a nice place to camp

Will hopefully have motel info tomorrow night for you guys, and gals..Got delayed doing this with the hurricane...Looks like we have another one coming as well..

Camping at the field

Yeah Bill, I'll be camping myself. I did that (tent camped) at the Tora-Doc fly-in earlier in the year and it was quite pleasant. No problems with bugs or critters and I had a great spot reserved for the next day. It should be cool enough later on in the evening so it won't be too hot to sleep comfortably.

If I hear back in advance from enough of you, I'll go ahead and commit to making a kick-butt breakfast for those campers. NO CHARGE !!!

How about that !!!???

BTW I enjoyed watching you fly your big heli this weekend Bill.

Looked really stable, sounded great too. Bruce (aka Robo)

I'm adding Hotel info link in the original announcement above...There are plenty to shop around, Most of the hotels, and motels are at the 49, and 59 intersection...The others on Hardy ST, and highway 98..

Something has happen to the Google maps on North, and South entrance directions..I have no explanation..

The Original map at the club website gives correct, and easiest way to the field...
If you have GPS, just click the field coordinates from the Google field location to use in your GPS...

In the meantime I'll try to get new google maps done again...

Maps and Signs to Pinebelt Field

Bill,

Jeff Williams and I will be putting up some large 4x8 signs at the key turn in points off the road in order to try to help the out-of-towners find the field as easy as possible.

I have a feeling the weather is going to be ideal as our local monsoon season is coming to an abrupt halt soon!!!!

Looking forward to seeing all the pilots have a good time at the event.
