but yes, it is still on. Weather forecast through the week looks very promissing, i can only hope it will hold up for the saterday.
Steve Reuss is donating his BBQ for the day. There will be a 1500W generator for charging your lipo's, just bring your 12V power supply. There are going to be some prizes to give away...unfortunatly not as many as i would have liked. Prizes will be handed out via draw useing registered pilot numbers. There is no Radio impound, but for those people who are on the 72mhz system, we do have a frequency board, PLEASE USE IT. There are only 4 picnic tables available, so if you have a portable table you can bring, feel free to do so.
We are still planning the $10 entry fee (the money will go into the club), and MAAC is required to fly at this field.
A friend of mine who works for World Wonders will be donating some small electric heli's to give away at the event, along with some to sell (looking at $30-35, and the profits will go to the club). Some of these little helicopters are very cool, i know one version has a set of LED's on them to fly in the dark! Your pets will never know what hit them! She is also interested in talking to any dealers who might be interested in selling the World Wonders helicopters, so if anyone like that is going to show up, please PM me, or get a hold of her at the event.
I also have some prizes to give away that were donated to the event by Richard at Discount Hobbies in Ottawa.
Scott Gray said he would look into what he can bring for prizes as well.
