The snow melted off our field here in deer park and we finally got to fly at our club field, was a good week. the last time we were there was new years fun fly that was really a super cold fly there was about 2 feet at new years then it really came down we had the second largest snow fall on record this winter in the Spokane WA area, so needless to say my computing has taken a second chair to getting outside but I will keep you posted.

Almost have all the parts

PJRONO, thanks for the close up on the shaft adapter, one of the problems of concern for me, how rigid is that long shaft adapter, can i buy an adapter pre-fabricated? Is this the most difficult part of the conversion? What gearing should i use on a Neu 1915H, and size pinion, i'd like to use 700-710mm blades. CC HV 85, or should i go for a 110HV after reading all the bad things that can go wrong with CC controllers.

Help would be much appreciated for i never converted a Raptor 90 before

Shaft adapters you can buy at SDP-SI.com, they have precision grade stuff.

Just watch out what shippingmethod you select, it can be expensive.

CC85 for a 710mm blade heli is too small, CC's controllers isnt like Kontronik where you can over-use them without penalty.
Go for the 110 if you gonna go CC.

Mel, CC 85 will work good if you have a 9 lb or less 90 RTF.
my trex has it ,

Depends on the RPM on the head too.
But a Raptor 90 is quite heavy.

Good point, i mean, there's no disadvantage going for a 110 is there? Bit more heavier? Is that a concern? Any answers on my other questions?

Remember, it's a 90-size heli so a few oz. is not going to make any diffence so there's no excuse not to get the biggest and baddest ESC you can afford.

hey , this setup is a proto machine , it has 2 motors , one for the head and one for the tail, 32-3 , hacker A 30-12XL for the tail , theres also 2 escs , both kontronics , HV 80 Jive and tail has a 40-6-18 , batteries , 12s 3850s for the head , 4s 2600s for the tail, motor is above the main gear for the tail, hooks straight to the torque tube , spin it up first on a slider on another channel , it goes into gov where you want it , leave it and crank up the main, Beat the hell out of it , land and kill main blades then the tail.

you know it , I had to take that video,
