That picture was taken during the Drag races.
Pretty cool to see this amazing electric Logo 20 rocketship competing.
It's a shame that Adam (xcelllogo) hit the ground with the blades just before taking off in the final round for the 60 size drag queen.

Electric Vs. Gas

Ok adam. We can try again next year. It was fun, beating the electric, on your rules, one race winner takes all. Seems like that Mercury 60 was hauling butt. I wonder what it will do If I lean it out and raise the head speed for racing.

I wonder if what Adam is saying abut larger blades would work or not.
I know that for airplane racers they tend to use smaller diameter props and higher pitch props but I wonder if that applies to the heli rotor.

That drag race between the 60 and the electric certainly had us all at the edge of the seat. I hated when I heard Adam hit the pavement with the tip of the blades loosing head speed right before the go. We missed the oppotunity to see a good last race. Nevertheless it was a close race and like Alan says if he would have increased the head speed it would have probably been a different race.

Now the fact that the electric racer was on the final race is quite an accomplishment by itself and a lot of us were surprised at that.

I guess next year will be a pretty good one to watch. We will call it "Alan vs Adam, the re-match!"
